Production Assistant

The Role:

As a Production Assistant, you’ll play a key role in helping our projects run smoothly from start to finish. You’ll support the team across all stages of production – from pre-production planning and shoot days to post-production wrap-up. You’ll also help keep our production office organised and running like clock-work.

We’re looking for someone who shares our passion for film and culture, is highly organised, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. You’ll work closely with Producers, Production Managers, and our EP/MD, often acting as one of the first points of contact for clients, crew, and directors.

Key Responsibilities – Production 

  • Assist producers and the team across all stages of production — from pre-production planning and scheduling to shoot days and wrap-up.
  • Attending meetings such as project kick-offs and PPMS and taking notes
  • Assisting with booking of crew; equipment/supplies, studios, flights, hotels and taxis
  • Assisting creation of production paperwork such as; call sheets, travel itineraries
  • Helping producers with managing and reconciling shoot expenses, including taxi and courier logs
  • Attending and Assisting on shoots as required, if and when not required in the office to support the team.
  • Liaising with suppliers, crew, agents and talent in the run up to the shoot 

Key Responsibilities – Office 

  • Organising and managing the office space. Keeping kitchen, stationery and office supplies stocked.
  • Manage the hard drives by keeping logs up to date and archived accordingly – arranging couriers to / from post production.
  • Organising google/zoom meetings when necessary & helping to manage team diaries Helping to manage Armoury social media.
  • Helping to update Armoury website with director work
  • Helping to organise agency presentations / events / showcases and attending with our rep and MD to represent Armoury and our wonderful roster of Directors. Occasionally editing showreels (Adobe Premiere).
  • Occasionally editing showreels (Adobe Premiere).

Key Responsibilities – Design

  • Occasionally helping with edit amends on director treatments (in-design / google slides)
  • Good eye for image research / sourcing imagery for pitch decks and treatments.

Skills & Experience – Essential

  • Strong time-management and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Clear and confident communicator, both written and verbal, with strong people skills.
  • Quick learner who takes initiative, adapts well under pressure, and stays solutions focused.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive, positive attitude and a genuine interest in film production.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel / Word) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)

Bonus points if you have;

  • Knowledge of budgets and the APA standards & terms
  • Knowledge of post-production workflows
  • Clean driving license
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative suite (premiere and InDesign)
