Head of Data Lab

Coffee & TV are looking for a Head of Data Lab, this is a new position due to expansion and would be heading a team of Data Lab technicians. Coffee & TV are a global creative studio with offices in the UK and across the US.

Main Responsibilities:

• Asset management
• Data storage and backup and liaising with the production team around storage needs
• Data Security and working closely with the IT team to ensure requirements are met
• Workflow optimisation and knowledge of all software used
• QC
• Communicating with production and VFX leads to determining the desired formatting and resolution
• Communicating with production to determine the prioritisation of requests
• Communicating with 2D and Colour Departments to continue best practices
• Training and developing Colour Assist skills
• Research and Development with our Colour, VFX, and Technical teams

Qualifications:

• Good communication skills for their team and production to give clear and transparent expectations of deliveries.
• Understanding of different camera colour spaces and formatting and ACES workflow
• Editorial knowledge, e.g. EDLs, XMLs
