About Us

The Corner Shop is a BAFTA and Emmy Award Winning Production company founded by Anna Hashmi, with offices in London and Los Angeles.  The name reflects Hashmi’s south Asian cultural heritage, and influences the diverse and eclectic work the company produces, and the directors they represent.  Working across multiple mediums, the company produce award winning commercials, branded content, music videos, original scripted content for film and TV and documentary films.

The Role
We’re looking for a friendly and highly organised Creative & Production Assistant to join our London team. You’ll play a key role in maintaining essential in-house duties for the UK office and provide support across pitches, social media / PR and live productions.  It’s a great opportunity for someone who’s looking to progress quickly in production and is confident to work independently in a small team. Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

AD Hoc / Front Desk Duties

  • Answering the company phone
  • Taking minutes during meetings 
  • Regularly carry out maintenance and organise the company server.
  • Manage all PR and research subscriptions.
  • Production admin: ensure all budget, contract and production templates are up-to-date.
  • Provide executive support to the company founders and directors (e.g. travel bookings, couriers, gifting, receipts).

Creative & Production Support

  • Upload and archive final assets to WireDrive.
  • Maintain pitch and project tracking and director availability documents.
  • Coordinate treatment designers, researchers and writers – and assist with proofing decks and sourcing visual references.
  • Optioning freelance crew and support with logistics such as travel, casting, wardrobe, and call sheets.
  • Provide PA/runner support on set as required.
  • Communicate production timelines to external partners and reps.
  • Provide assistance when wrapping jobs and processing invoices within approval limits.
  • Assist with creative pitches (image research and layout) for special projects and commercials.

Candidate Requirements 

Essential Experience & Skills:

  • 1–2 years experience in a production company or relevant creative environment is essential.
  • Proficient in adobe creative suite (InDesign, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro).
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Professional approach with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, G-Suite and cloud-based file management systems.
  • Familiarity with asset management platforms such as WireDrive.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and solutions-oriented.
