Barn Door Films was founded by director Jim Gilchrist in 2025.

Together with his longstanding production team, Jim is known for throwing himself into every project with a relentless commitment to craft and collaboration.

A versatile director lauded for his visual storytelling and a comedic range that spans from subtle to absurd, Jim’s emphasis on strong casting and a thoughtful photographic approach to every frame has earned him top honours at Cannes, British Arrows, D&AD, Kinsale Sharks to name but a few.
