A new EU law on AI introduces a requirement to label some AI content.

But what do these obligations mean in practice for APA members?

The deepfake labelling obligation is a lot broader than the popular understanding of a deepfake, extending beyond fake videos of public figures, to a range of visual and audio content. As with most EU digital regulations, it applies beyond Europe, which means businesses that are based outside the EU could also be caught if their content is distributed within the EU.
