Posted in News, on September 23, 2022

We are delighted to announce that the BFI- British Film Institute- has decided to archive the APA Collection.

Each year’s APA Collection premiers in the APA Show and the BFI will archive each year of the APA Collection, going back to its birth in 2001.

The BFI were keen to archive the APA Collection as the definitive record of the best commercials of each year.

For the APA membership, it is further recognition of the cultural importance of the work you produce- and that it is recognised as the pinnacle of advertising film making.

The BFI said:

“The BFI National Archive is home to over 100,000 British commercials from the birth of moving image to the present day. We are delighted to be working with the APA to continue a tradition of preserving Britain’s greatest commercials for the Nation.”

The APA said:

“We are delighted at the recognition this gives to the importance of the films APA members create and to have this permanent home for every APA Collection.”
