From June 1st AdGreen are introducing a voluntary levy, paid by advertisers (with Nestlé and Unilever already on board) to help fund the initiative’s future plans.
The AdGreen Levy is a recommended 0.25% of the cost to produce an advertising asset – or £2.50 per £1,000 of relevant spend, with financials being reviewed on an annual basis (with the hope of reducing the levy percentage as more advertisers decide to contribute).
Supported by the APA and equivalent trade bodies across the industry (including AOP, IPA and ISBA), the levy will be collected by UK based organisations providing services directly to the advertiser (described in all docs as Principal Production Partners) and then passed onto AdGreen on a quarterly basis.
While the majority of these discussions and transactions will be between agency and brand – with the IPA and ISBA informing their respective memberships – there are occasions where our members work direct to client and it’s therefore important to be aware of this introduction.
There is a webinar on the ♻️ 13th May @ 11am ♻️ on the Levy and how it’ll work, which we encourage you to sign up for, see registration button below.
Also below is more in-depth information on the Levy AND a template addendum for an existing agreement which incorporates the Levy.
