Our Proposal for Direct Help for Freelancers

The Government’s proposals to help freelancers will not help most freelancers in our business. I have spoken with many freelancers in our sector (233 joined our Zoom call on Friday) and they are understandably anxious and angry at having to face the prospect of months with no income.

There is an opportunity to change that because the Government have invited comments on their proposals by 5pm on Monday 30th March. Please email [email protected] and say that:

1. You will not receive any money under the freelance scheme (assuming that is true of course).

and

2. You support the proposals attached.

We will have a much greater chance of success if we all support the same proposals – than if everyone affected makes their own proposals.
