We are holding a ‘Shooting in High-Risk Areas, Risk Assessment & Insurance Guidance’ seminar on Wed 28th March from 9.30am – 11am at Picturehouse Central with Jamie Fewster and Chris Lawton from 1st Option Safety & Tony Wall of Integro Stonehouse.
Jamie Fewster is Head of Production Safety for 1st Option Safety Group, Jamie has been providing safety support and advice for over 10 years across a variety of different productions including tv, film, events and commercials. Jamie’s approach to safety is both pragmatic and creative ensuring a production team can realise their creative aims without safety being a stumbling block.
Chris Lawton is the head of high-risk services for 1st Option Safety Group. Ex-military, he has been providing support, advice and training across news, documentaries and films since 2011. With a primary focus on the media sector, Chris has also worked with the UN, IFRC, OSCE and the UK government delivering training and advice on a global basis. He leads the training, advice, support and equipment services offered by 1st Option to those working in some of the most challenging production environments the planet can offer.
Tony Wall is a Director at insurance brokers Integro Stonehouse who have been looking after the insurance requirements of APA member companies, advertising agencies and other film and media companies for nearly 30 years.
The seminar will discuss the fundamentals of risk assessing, how to differentiate between significant risks and over cautious risks with a brief look at the writing process. It will also include information on filming in high-risk areas and the insurances that you should undertake to make sure you are covered while abroad.
We will produce a short report detailing what is discussed in the seminar for those that are unable to make it.
