From Script to Screen an APA Guide to Production

The APA has created a Guide to production as part of the 2010 Masterclass, directed by Jan Hesse at Production International we have developed a training film about the production process hearing from some great people within the industry. This film was made for the 2010 Masterclass students however here is a trailer for the film which will be given out on Monday 25th January, the film will be show on the website in weekly installments.

Masterclass 2009 Comes to an End!

This years Masterclass has come to an end with over 70 students graduating last night at MPC Theatre.
After 5 months of lectures, study groups and demo evening the students all passed the exam and collected their certificates last night in a great evening for everyone. We would like to say a huge congratulations to all of the students for passing the exam this year, in particular Ross Curzon-Butler, Alice Haines, Hannah Davies, Lucy Clements, Henry Huang, Kate Aitkin, Jo Coombes and Andy Noble for achieving the highest mark of Outstanding for their exam.
We would also like to thank everyone who has been involved in the course and helped to make another year such a great success.

Masterclass 2009
The APA Masterclass is now in its eighth year. The course has proved immensely popular and is now established as an important component in the training of the producers of tomorrow.The purpose of the Masterclass is to enable production managers and production assistants to develop their expertise in commercials production, editing and post-production. The Masterclass consists of 14 sessions - 7 lectures, 5 study groups and 2 equipment demonstration evenings will take place every Monday from 12th January until 20th April, followed by a work exchange scheme and an exam. The course is open to employees of APA and IPA member companies only and is FREE of charge.
