Role Overview
Our award-winning entertainment studio is seeking an in-house Production Manager to join our team. They would be the primary liaison between the Unit Production Manager and all of the creative teams on projects.
We’re looking for a calm, highly organised leader who thrives in collaborative environments and can bring all their skills to complex productions.
The Production Manager is a key in-house role responsible for the day-to-day management and delivery of productions across multiple departments, supporting Executive Producers, Head of Production and the Head of Operations. This role ensures projects run smoothly from prep through to post, with particular responsibility for Crew, Kit, Studio & Locations, Art & Construction, Insurance, Health & Safety and Procurement. Key Responsibilities
Project & Production Management
● Manage assigned productions from greenlight through final delivery.
● Assume responsibility for projects handed over by HOP/HOO and support day-to-day
director and talent communications.
● Track and maintain production schedules, workflows and deliverables.
● Track budgets, actuals and anticipated overages within assigned departments; flag
risks and updates to Head of Operations.
● Ensure clear communication between all departments, particularly across Crew, Kit,
Studio & Locations, Art & Construction, Insurance, Health & Safety and Procurement.
● Support Production Risk Mitigation (PRM) by identifying issues early and proposing
practical solutions.
● Maintain organised project documentation and oversee archiving according to
company procedures.
Budget & Resource Management
● Track department spend, process purchase orders and ensure cost control
throughout production.
● Liaise with vendors and freelancers to negotiate rates, availability and deliverables.
● Ensure all required contracts, deal memos and releases are in place for assigned
departments (Crew, Kit, Studio and locations, Art and Construction ect).
Departmental Oversight
● Coordinate cross-department timelines to ensure seamless handoffs between prep,
shoot, and post, aligning physical production, virtual production, and post-production
requirements.
● Support contracting, onboarding, and scheduling across all departments in
collaboration with EPs and department leads, ensuring resource allocation,
compliance, and budget alignment.
● Oversee logistics and operational requirements including equipment bookings, studio
builds, virtual production stage readiness, insurance documentation, and Health &
Safety compliance.
● Support post-production and workflows, including approvals, feedback cycles,
procurement tracking, and final delivery coordination across all production and
post-production teams.
Team Collaboration & Support
● Support internal production teams in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments.
● Foster strong collaboration across departments, disciplines and locations.
● Act as a reliable, calm point of contact for crew, talent and creative teams.
● Escalate issues appropriately while maintaining positive working relationships.

Crew Coordination & Communication
● Support crew coordination under the guidance of Executive Producers/HOP, ensuring
clear alignment with production goals and schedules.
● Ensure objectives, priorities, and feedback are clearly communicated to Heads of
Department and crew members throughout prep, shoot, and wrap.
● Participate in internal production meetings, schedule reviews, and department
check-ins as required to maintain clarity across teams.
● Maintain professionalism and clear communication when addressing questions or
concerns related to crew availability, scheduling, performance, or on-set requirements.
Health, Safety & Risk Management
● Support the Head of Operations in implementing and maintaining Health & Safety
standards across all stages of production.
● Assist with the preparation, review, and distribution of risk assessments, method
statements, and safety documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory and
company requirements.
● Monitor production plans, schedules, and on-set activities to help identify potential
risks, escalating concerns and supporting mitigation strategies in collaboration with
department leads.
● Help ensure that all crew, contractors, and suppliers adhere to agreed safety protocols,
contributing to a safe and compliant working environment throughout prep, shoot,
and wrap.
Post-Production Management
● Assist in managing post-production schedules and workflows for editorial.
● Ensure clean handoffs of metadata, camera logs, assets and documentation.
● Assist in maintaining communication between creative teams, post-production,
producers and Directors.
Production Wrap
● Support final budget reconciliation, vendor close-outs and paperwork.
● Coordinate equipment returns, asset management and archiving.
● Deliver complete wrap documentation to the Head of Operations and internal teams.
