Closing: March 13th 2026

3 MONTH CONTRACT WITH A VIEW TO EXTEND TO FULL-TIME ROLE – HYBRID / LONDON (CLERKENWELL)

Witness Studios are looking for an Edit Assist / Junior Editor to join our growing in-house team. Our slate spans ambitious, meaningful projects for top-tier clients, with award-winning work.

‍This is a full-time role for someone who wants to sharpen their craft, expand their reel with commercial clients and take on increasing creative responsibility within a fast-moving production studio.

‍You’ll work across a range of short and long-form projects, including commercial, documentary, branded and social films. You’ll be hands-on in the edit while also supporting wider post-production workflows, with opportunities to step up as lead editor on selected projects.

We’re looking for someone confident in their chosen editing software. Experience with DaVinci Resolve is preferred, or a genuine willingness to learn and transition into Resolve as part of our workflow.

What you’ll be doing

  • Editing a wide range of content from social cutdowns to longer-form commercial films
  • Assisting senior editors while also owning edits independently
  • Preparing, organising and managing project assets and timelines
  • Handling ingest, versioning, exports and delivery across multiple formats
  • Collaborating closely with directors, producers and creatives
  • Supporting post-production workflows including colour, sound and delivery
  • Taking on lead editor responsibility on appropriate projects as experience grows
  • Maintaining clean, well-structured projects and archives

What we’re looking for

  • Experience with DaVinci Resolve, or clear motivation to learn it
  • A strong showreel that clearly demonstrates your editorial eye, technical skill, and storytelling instincts
  • Excellent storytelling instincts with a sharp eye for pacing and detail
  • Confidence working across multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong organisational skills and a calm, methodical approach to post
  • Experience in a production company, agency or brand environment preferred
  • Someone eager to grow their reel through high-profile commercial work

Nice to have

  • Basic colour or finishing experience
  • Basic sound mixing experience
  • Familiarity with asset management and delivery workflows
  • Experience briefing or supporting freelancers or junior team members

The role

  • Full-time position with initial three-month contract
  • Salary equivalent of £30,000 – £45,000 p/a, depending on experience
  • Hybrid working, remote and from our London office in Clerkenwell

‍If you’re an editor looking to take the next step, build meaningful commercial work, and grow into a lead role within a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.

Please send your CV and showreel with a short note about yourself.‍
