Treatment Researcher

1stAveMachine is looking for a Treatment Researcher to join our team! We are an award-winning mixed media production company based in London with offices in Los Angeles, New York, and Buenos Aires. We partner with major ad agencies and the biggest, coolest brands to create stories that are worth sharing across the globe.

Your role would oversee the competitive pitching process of commercial productions for 1stAveMachine. This includes collaborating with our roster of directors, producers and artists to create visual and written materials, such as treatment documents, artwork, mood films, and pitch videos.

Over the past year, our office has been fully remote. We don’t expect that to change in the immediate future.


  • Assist in the creation of all pitches. This includes:
    • Image and Video research
    • Copy editing pitches
    • Treatment and design layout using Google Slides
    • Taking notes on creative calls
    • Acting as a liaison of communication between the director/s and the producers
  • In addition to creative, pitch-related responsibilities, administrative responsibilities include:
    • Managing flow of finished work and uploading finals to our online library
    • Scheduling calls and setting up channels of communication proactively
    • Updating and maintaining various databases with job and/or pitch related information
    • Assisting in the creation of reels and/or capabilities presentation before the pitching phase begins

Skills and Experience: 

  • Previous experience is highly desirable
  • Multi-tasking and time management
  • Taking initiative to make sure tasks are clearly defined for yourself or other team members/support
  • A refined sense of aesthetics and attention to detail, both from a design and filmmaking perspective
  • Highly communicative in a concise and clear manner, especially remotely
  • Extremely organized with the ability to prioritise
  • Able to use discretion when necessary
  • Experience/knowledge using Google Drive programs, Dropbox and Adobe Creative Suite.
