Reports to (Line Manager): Creative Director – Moving Image

Reports in (Direct Reports): None


The Producer at The Canopy Studio will provide on-shoot and in-studio support on all Production projects. You’ll be working on quick turnaround projects of varying scale and demand, covering all aspects of the production process from pre to post-production and everything in between. You’ll be challenged to think on your feet, get fully immersed in each project and have a passion for delivering standout creative.

We’re looking for someone with the following;

  • Excels at building rapport and relationships
  • Unphased by the fast paced, often ever-changing nature of the projects you’ll be working on
  • Positive, can-do outlook and remain level-headed under pressure, encouraging the team around you to deliver the best possible creative solution before, during and after shoots
  • Effectively maintain a clear and comprehensive record of all stages of every production project
  • Expert at prioritising and juggling multiple tasks
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Project / Account Management for an in-house brand team or an agency

Responsibility and skills:

  • Support the Senior Project Manager to organise and manage the smooth running of both photography and video shoots by meticulously coordinating crew, talent, suppliers, subsistence, external freelancers and clients on the shoot day itself as well as pre and post-production
  • Ensure high levels of service and creativity is delivered at all times, both on the shoot day itself as well as pre and post-production, liaising with clients to manage expectations, determine project requirements and deliverables within pre-agreed time frames and budgets, creating storyboards, concept treatments and shot lists as needed
  • Support both the Production Manager and the Senior Project Manager in creating project cost breakdowns so all projects can be quoted both timely and accurately
  • Manage the safe delivery of all post-shoot media and back up of data, using appropriate post-production tools to organise, manage and version projects
  • Embody The Canopy’s ‘Design Together’ ethos with both clients, freelancers and suppliers

  • Develop an in depth understanding of our client’s creative needs, and then work closely with our Moving Image team to ensure the best end creative product is delivered

Organisation and Planning

  • Produce and maintain paperwork for production projects, including but not limited to; briefs, plans, schedules, contact reports, meeting notes, finance trackers, NDA’s, contracts and vendor agreements, risk assessments, freelancer onboarding forms, location approvals
  • With support from the Operations Partner and external Insurance suppliers, ensure production projects comply with any stipulated health and safety regulations, union requirements, copyright laws, and insurance terms
  • Work alongside clients and suppliers to deliver effective and timely assets in the following order:

○ Pre-Edit – Ingest rushes, setup bins, brief with Director, review time coding notes (DoP & Sound

○ Offline Edit – Picture Edit, CGI, GFX / Title placement, Music, VO

○ Online Edit [Picture Locked] – Full motion GFX, Sound Mix, Colour Grade, Conform

○ Versioning [Master Edit Locked] – Cut-downs, Translations, Market Versions, etc

  • Adhere to our processes when creating and saving client materials, internal assets, and final files, ensuring assets from productions can be easily picked up by relevant team members at any stage without your input
  • Manage and track your projects workflow via our chosen project management system
  • Attend both external and internal meetings, calls and the studio on time, every time
  • Adhere to our processes when requesting leave, and take all allocated annual leave as required
