PR & Social Media Manager
We are looking for a PR & Social Media Manager to join our team in London. This position is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of the creative development and growth of the Somesuch brand.
We’re looking for someone keen to help us build the Somesuch brand beyond a traditional production company/advertising industry profile by creating partnerships, social media and marketing strategies, new editorial ideas, and developing and executing new projects to raise our profile both within the industry and outside of it.
In addition to this, our website and social media channels are our ‘shop window’ and something we are all proud of. Our aim is for the standard of the content we share on these to be as high as the films, adverts and music videos we make. As a production company operating globally with a roster of multi-award-winning directors, we want our work to be seen and appreciated by as many people as possible. Our PR & Social Media Manager will be at the forefront of making this happen, both creatively and strategically.
As PR & Social Media Manager at Somesuch, you will:
- Run all Somesuch social media platforms with a strategic and creative mindset, pulling together assets and release schedules for each piece of new work, ensuring each platform is up to date and our work is presented to the highest standard;
- Continue to help us develop a unique, fresh and interesting social media identity for Somesuch – shaping and refining our tone of voice, pushing distinctive and innovative ways for us to use social media, and building our existing social media presence as well as considering emerging/existing platforms where we may not yet have an established presence;
- Lead on all website curation to ensure the best and latest work is showcased here, director reels are regularly considered and refreshed, and website content is kept up-to-date;
- Work with each of our directors to support the development of their individual profiles via social media, traditional and non-traditional press opportunities, film festivals and other industry events;
- Work alongside our leadership team and external partners to curate and plan external promotional events/screenings/launches for Somesuch and our directors and represent Somesuch at external events organised by others;
- Nurture our existing network of industry press contacts and proactively work to build this network;
- Seed all new work out to both traditional industry press and non-traditional press (where appropriate), ensuring maximum coverage and managing all media requests for Somesuch and our directors;
- Create regular e-mailers for clients, agencies, brands, press etc.;
- Support our Head of Film with the film festival submission process, and
- Lead on internal/external/director communication around advertising, music and film award nominations and wins, in addition to attending and representing Somesuch at these events wherever appropriate.
We are looking for someone who has proven PR / communications / social media management experience and a strong understanding of the film and commercial production industry with a keen interest in art, music, fashion and photography. Ideally, you would also have proficiency in the use of Mac-based Adobe software – specifically InDesign and Photoshop.
This role is London-based.
