The Role

The NEW BUSINESS & MARKETING MANAGER plays a vital role in the growth of makemepulse. The two main objectives of the role is to generate new project/client opportunities within the UK and to elevate our social and marketing activity. You will also be instrumental in supporting global pitches and clients as makemepulse grows globally.

For sales you will work closely with an Executive Producer and Chief Growth Officer to qualify opportunities and coordinate our pitch response. You will also be responsible for data management for the sales team and have access to tools and a pitch team. You will enable us to be agile in our responses and ensure we always win the relationship.

For PR & Marketing you will work closely with the Chief Growth Officer, the creative production team and key stakeholders to continue and evolve our social media and marketing output. We want someone who can make us shine on social, becoming a place of inspiration for clients and talent. You will also work closely with our PR consultant.

We will value your opinion and perspective on the ideas, opportunities and relationships you develop.

You will be passionate about technology, craft and creativity; curious about the role it plays within marketing and advertising and the types of experiences we can help brands create for their audiences. You will be hungry to position us as the company that helps our clients rise above, so you’ll also have an eye on our competition. You will be comfortable working with advertising agencies, tech companies and brands and understand this landscape.

You will have a desire to identify and win projects and relationships that will elevate makemepulse. You won’t be fazed by the prospect of projects that haven’t been done before, in fact you’ll be inspired by the challenge! You’ll have excellent communication skills and in time be adept at translating and educating, making things simple for non-technical team members and clients alike.

Key responsibilities:

  • Promoting makemepulse as a creative, technical and craft leader to UK prospects and clients
  • Be the company expert on best-in-class work and innovative brands in your region
  • Developing and managing relationships with brands and selected advertising agencies as well as industry trade associations
  • Identifying opportunities, taking briefs and qualifying them
  • Co-ordinating the pitch team internally and being the daily point of contact externally
  • Meet financial targets and strategic company targets
  • Working with the EP to transition projects in and out of production
  • Global pitch support & sales admin support to wider sales team
  • Social media and marketing thinking and doing
  • Provide regular progress reports on sales and prospecting pipeline

About you

  • Exceptional spoken and written english
  • 0-3 years experience within marketing, gaming and advertising, especially in a sales, marketing or commercial role
  • You are motivated and comfortable working alone and as part of a team
  • A successful track record at reaching financial and strategic goals
  • Hungry to learn about how technology is changing behaviour and excited to educate others about this
  • A whizz on social media
  • An existing network of contacts is helpful but not essential
