The role of Head Runner and Assistant to the COO is ideal for those looking for their first or second job in production as it will give you an invaluable insight into how a busy and successful production company works. It is a full-time position reporting to the COO. Your responsibilities will include providing comprehensive organisation and administrative support to the COO, and overseeing a group of 2-3 runners. As Head Runner, you will also be responsible for assisting the COO with a wide variety of building maintenance and security protocols, and other ad hoc premises-related tasks.

Job Outline:

  • Creating weekly/monthly rotas for the runner shifts

  • Ordering all groceries, stationery and other office materials

  • Supporting the COO in any ad hoc tasks throughout the day

  • Organising maintenance work in the office

  • Holding keys and alarm codes to the company building

  • Working in tandem with our cleaning company to ensure a presentable office space

  • Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the office

  • Assisting the various departments in a wide range of contexts – this might range from assisting on shoots to IT support

    Candidate requirements:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Excel – knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is helpful

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ambition to work within the anima<on/documentary industry

  • Helpful, proactive, organised, methodical, keen to go above and beyond

  • Calm under pressure, ability to prioritise

  • Excellent communication skills
