Facilities / Office Manager

We’re looking for a proactive facilities manager to help us run our busy Shoreditch space. Being the heart of Amplify you will ensure the smooth running and consistent delivery of the Amplify experience, to Amplify employees, partner agencies and visitors. You will be setting the tone and energy for how you want people who walk into our environment to feel, ensuring your reception team embed these behaviours too. You will need to be proactive in delivering against the role and seeking / developing new operational processes when and where relevant making things happen seamlessly.

Your day to day will vary, depending on business needs, but main responsibilities will include:

  • Creating an environment / culture through engagement with Amplify staff and partner agencies that ensures our space is well presented, maintained and inspiring (main office floors, kitchens, social spaces, meetings rooms etc)
  • Liaise with our landlords and building management company to ensure all aspects of our space are being maintained and regular mechanical and H&S checks are being upheld.
  • Own the relationships with our cleaning company, utility contracts, alarm systems, mobile phone contract and negotiate the best rates
  • Oversee and manage the reception team and their development
  • Be responsible for any costs related to our space
  • Be the linchpin between our external IT partners and our agency, ensuring you’re on top of all equipment logs, IT issues, meeting room tech etc
  • Work with the people & culture team to set up new starters (desk, equipment, IT) and manage leaver admin
  • Initiate spontaneous fun. Whether that’s a surprise snack delivery or last minute social gathering.

We love to hear from people with different experiences and backgrounds, but some key attributes that will make you stand out for this role are:

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within a creative, fast paced environment
  • Be a self starter, able to be proactive and use your initiative and have a high attention to detail
  • You take an immense amount of pride in the look and feel of their environment
  • Be a practical thinker and a people person, who is able to build strong relationships with lots of people with different needs
  • Ability to manage a prioritise multiple projects at once and remains calm under pressure
  • Excellent IT and tech skills
  • Great communication skills
  • Commercially savvy, ability to understand and manage budgets
  • Has a positive, can-do attitude and wants to make a positive impact
