APA | CANNES FRINGE PROGRAMME 2013

To brighten up this gloomy Friday, the APA Cannes Fringe programme is out now.
It includes the three events that we organise- all free for members and providing opportunities to meet network, see new work (the Young Directors Award), understand worldwide production trends (the World Producers Summit) and enjoy Cannes (our drinks reception with The Location Guide).
Plus details of other key events.
Many of the events require an invitation but the Young Directors Award is in the Marriott Hotel and is free to all, with no invitation required. Returning to the regular venue for the YDA, we hope that will see the venue full to its 900 capacity, for the biggest Cannes event outside the official festival.

YDA 2013 Deadline Extension

To All New Directors Who Want Global Fame
If only we had more time and more budget is the cry that goes up from nearly every director. So for all of you who need just a bit more time (sorry we can’t help with the budget) to send in your brilliant work we have extended our deadline for entries to
April 29th.
And that is absolutely your last chance for fame.
Your films will be shown to a multitude of international judges from the production and creative industries who will draw up a shortlist after much debating and viewing.
If your work is shortlisted it will be shown on the big screen at the YDA Show to an audience of hundreds of producers and creatives madly eager to snap up new talent on :

YDA 2013 Call for Entries

CFPE Young Director Award is now in its 15th year. Established as the most successful event in Cannes outside the official festival. There has been at least one winner from the APA membership in each of those 15 years and many of those are now established commercials directors.
